Fine Art Wedding Inspiration
Nóbl strives to provide unending fine art wedding inspiration for newly engaged couples. Especially those who are lovers of the theatre, classic literature, and history like us! Phantom of the Opera holds a special place in our hearts and so we mounted a editorial collaboration dedicated to capturing all of the nuances you can include in your upcoming wedding day!
Can a fine art wedding (something quintessentially light and airy) incorporate the colour black? Short answer: Yes!
Nóbl sought to explore the use of black in a fine art table-scape and drew inspiration from the iconic Phantom of the Opera.
We looked closely at the elements that we found present in the many depictions of this well-loved tale and had to showcase how a modern fine art bride may be able to infuse her day with notes of black and muted tones while still creating a day that didn’t feel dark or heavy.
Apparel & Styling
Ladies
Lace robes and nighties during your getting ready photos. A half up half down do with cascading curls (especially for those who have naturally curls!) Delicate jewellery, Parisian perfumes and delicate heals. And last but not least a ballgown (or two)!
Gentlemen
Embrace the classic lines of a good black tux, but don’t be afraid to also embrace some good scruf. Remember the Phantom was master of music, but he was never perfect!
Ballet Motifs
Pull aspects of ballet and music into different parts of your flat lay, decor and accessories!
Candle Light
Candles. Candles everywhere! Candles during your ceremony. Candles during your dinner! Candle light is not only romantic, it sets an atmosphere that is rivalled by very few other things!
The Table & Furniture
Tufted couches, velvet settees, brass candle sticks and ornate chargers. Add a touch of black with your dinner wear and a touch of modern with gold cutlery, and dress your table in light and airy florals that have splashes of rust in the form of lush roses!
Romantic Portraits
Last but certainly not least, celebrate your romance with sensual photography that screams you’re past “The Point of No Return”
Not sure what makes a wedding fine art? We’ve got you! Head over to our blog post “Fine Art Weddings” to learn all the ways to infuse your wedding with Fine Art details (according to Nóbl).
