A Nóbl Editorial Shoot
We set out to play with colour, light and simplicity in this shoot. We strove for timelessness in the silhouettes and details, against a stunning backdrop ripe with history, a Nóbl Events editorial staple.
Photography
note from Photographer Mouna Tahar
For this editorial, I wanted to experiment with all the different light sources, lenses, and details we had. Shooting some portraits with a wide angle, and landscape with portrait lenses. Playing with lens flare to create (delightfully surprising) rainbows, light leaks, and flares. Shooting with the provided, natural lighting is important to me, as it feels the most authentic in retelling a story, exactly as it is, the way we see it with our eyes – but with a little more sparkle of that medium format magic.
Our Couple
Representation is so important to us, and our shoot was designed with this in mind. Love knows no colour, and we wanted a shoot that represented what was near and dear to us as well as represented many of the couples we work with in real life.
Attire
We’re calling this year the Sleeve Renaissance, and so we sought to embrace this timeless trend. We immediately fell in love with this off the shoulder gown by Sarah Seven from her Bride collection gown and earrings provided by The Modern Bride and designed by Sarah Seven Bridal; shoes by Jimmy Choo). Silk crape fell lovingly on our bride’s figure and looked classic against our groom’s signature black tux from Tiger of Sweden.
Table Design
We’ve seen a lot of wedding design over the years and sometimes the most timeless table is one that is simple. Every item is thoughtfully detailed, from the vanilla and sesame noir macrons on display, to the subtle romantic detailing on the plates and calligraphy place cards, we wanted to evoke gentle nostalgia and wistfulness.
